China – Cuba Relations
After the 1990s when the Soviet Union collapsed, the China Cuban relationship has gotten stronger to the point. Now, where both sides vote similarly in International fora, China, has become one of Cuba’s largest trading partners and both sides support dictatorial regimes in Venezuela, Nicaragua, and there’s even recent talk about cuba potentially joining the bricks. And so this gives a sense of the comprehensive nature of the China Cuban relationship beyond politics beyond ideology into economics as well.
Reparations
The present debate concerning reparations for slavery has hit the expected wall.
“It would be wrong to single out one race of people over the rest, when so many groups have suffered,” is the present answer to the question.
Americans have been totally fine with reparations, just not for slavery.

Japanese were inconvienced in camps for 3 years during world war 2.
The Office of Redress Administration (ORA) was established in 1988 and was charged with administering a ten-year program to provide a tax-free restitution payment of $20,000 to eligible individuals of Japanese ancestry for the fundamental injustices of the evacuation, relocation, and internment during World War II.

The US has supported reparations as a form of restorative justice. After World War II, it supported Jewish victims of the Holocaust in their demands for reparations from Germany and Austria. As recently as 2016, the US Department of State helped Holocaust survivors access the payment owed to them by a French railways company that was an accomplice in deportations.

The U.S. government paid Mexico $15 million “in consideration of the extension acquired by the boundaries of the United States” and agreed to pay American citizens debts owed to them by the Mexican government.

The commission, which was active until 1978, paid out $1.3 billion, according to the New York Times, which amounted to about $1,000 for each tribal member. In 1980, the Supreme Court ordered the United States to pay the Sioux nation over $105 million for the illegal government seizure of its land.

I suspect that on Harvey Milk’s birthday, we will see reparations paid to the LBGTQ community, in abstention of any requests by the black community.
Self Driving Dilemma
Over the last 50 years I have driven cabs, tour buses, shuttle vans, and city buses. The focus on driverless cars ignores the thousands of vehicle versus pedestrians, cycles and other vehicles every day. Contrary to what their mothers taught them,
people step into the street from between parked cars, all day. I see them because I expet them to do dumb stuff, and I know to look for their pinheads above the top of the cars. The self driving cars just need more cameras that scan the environment beyond the double yellow lines, with no expectation that pedestrians know or will not only observe the rules, but “common sense”
There was a fire truck in ‘Frisco that T-boned a driverless car – not because the car ignored the fire truck, but because the truck driver was cocky and insisted on his right of way. What if the car had been driven by someone hard of hearing – the results would have been the same. Check out the picture
below. Same situation, except the car was being driven by a human.
Sure the Self driving cars will need to be programmed to recognize the sound of approaching emergency equipment. Perhaps the equipment should be equipped to broadcast a tone that is outside of our range of hearing, but will allow the A.I. in a self-driving vehicle to distinguish the tone and probably triangulate the speed and direction.
Why They Are Dangerous
This is the difference in me and them. As an independent, I browse sites and pages from both sides of the aisle, and I post and repost information and memes from both sides.
Some of you probably already saw this MEME that appeared on the Social Media Group, memes & things. I shared it with a right wing MEME provider and their admin rejected it. They claim to be Politicaly Incorrect, but apparently that only applies when the joke is on the left. They cannot or will not expose their visitors to any diverse ideas or opinions. My re-post did not deny that Hunter Biden has commited crimes, it only confirms that Trumpelthinskin is exposed “biggly” Anyway, here is a screenshot of their disgraceful response. Snowflakes. 👇
DENIED

What Thoughts Matter?
When I first spotted this ad, I was predictably insensitive to it, but then, because I am consistently on the fence when it comes to what freedom of speech truly means in a melting pot, I was forced to face this alternative.
If you’re cool with one and not the other then you have some soul searching to do, because as Jeff Foxworthy might say. You might be a racist. We haven’t even touched on your sensibilities concerning LGBTQ.
Entertanment 101
Before y’all start crying about body shaming, that is not what this is about…
This is from an entertainment perspective We recently saw pictures from a Janet Jackson concert. She sounded great, but there was some concern that she was not in tip top Rhythm Nation shape. Of course. None of us are, or will be when we reach 56 years old.
Still that is not the point of the story. My concern is her slovenly attire. Her ticket price, in LA starts at $200±. I’m gonna need to see her dressed in something better than a T-Shirt. Too often today’s youngns hit the stage in dress clothes. As an entertainer myself, I attest to the importance of “SHOW CLOTHES“, and demand it from anyone asking me for cash.

I admit that I have not been on stage in over five years, but when I was performing as a teenager well into the ripe old age I am now (LOL), I always dressed in Show Clothes – at the very least, a well fitting suit, tie, or sports coat if I was slumming.

Coming from an entertainment dynasty, I know that Janet knows better. One of my collaborative home boys, who is still out there touring, pointed out that we are all subjected to the laws of gravity. To that I certainly agree BUT we do not have to succumb to it, especially in the presence of the fans.

Look at the difference in attire in these two, Janet and Pattie. Both consummate entertaining performers, but Janet is out of uniform.
All I’m saying is: “If it’s hanging, bind it and if its drooping, prop it up.”
As my homie put it, “You have to understand the assignment”. That is all.
Meet Paul Krekorian
Today on local radio station KNX Los Angeles City council president was talking tough about “changing the rules” related to the public’s ability to use first amendment rights, to protest the very existence of their disgraced, and confirmed, racist councilman Kevin DeLeon.
Why he is not exploring a means to change the rules governing the removal of the proven rouge councilman, DeLeon is suspect. It appears that he and the rest of the council are unwilling to make a rule change that might someday be used against them, should they commit a toxic act that may offend the citizens. Even worse, the councils willingness to protect DeLeon seems to suggest that they might agree with the toxic statements heard on the secretly opened mic, or at least be willing to live with the racist nature of DeLeon’s little coven of racial conspirators, that openly attacks the sensibilities of non-hispanic citizens, and takes a little dig at LBGTQ citizens.
He just wants to silence the protests, but not the reason for the protests. Kevin DeLeon put his hand on the Bible and swore to God that he would protect not only the citizens of his district but the needs of all citizens within the Los Angeles constitution. He lied to God. He lied to us all. How can anyone ever trust that any legislation that bares his racist, conniving input and or vote means us any good, and may in fact blow back to bring us harm. How can we trust that any back room deals that the rest of the council is willing to strike with him can be trusted.
A New World Order
Get ready for the next wave of technology. If you have not already received a call from you “providers ” offering you a new money saving plan if you drop cable service and downsize to their mobile cable APP, be prepared.
You probably already have the APP on your phone, so you can watch TV shows when you are away from home. Great! If you have a “smart” TV or Firestick or Roku, you could be using internet WIFI to stream the entire cable package from that same APP, installed on your TV or tablet. BOOM, you/us will save $75 a month and they will save millions when they no longer have to support thousands of CABLE boxes AND the employees, managers, technicians and customer service reps that keep them running.
This is why you are hearing the sad stories from Amazon and Facebook and Twitter, announcing the layoff of tens of thousands of employees. They need barristers, far more than they need employees. You (employees) however are going to need INDEED. The increased capacity and capabilities of 5g are no longer in the news, because they are quietly adding more convience to your life, and more money in their pockets.
Here is my Tech Tip: If you’re getting ready to buy Christmas gifts in 2 weeks – consider Pricing a family set of VR Headsets, because you will soon be living on the dole, or working remotely, part time from home.
As I see It, We gonna be Allright.
The big picture in Inglewood
5 people have chosen to run against Inglewood Mayor, James Butts at the height of his effectiveness. The Forum. Two stadiums. YouTube theater. Home equity, YOLA, NFL and Girl Scout headquarters. What more can you ask for?
Chika Ogoke is the only male suitor for the position. He’s running on a platform, promising “free electricity” for everybody. OK…
There are four ladies in the running. Fredrisha Dixon, Raina Carrillo, Angeliqu Johnson and Miya Walker. Their platforms were not readily available, but I’m sure that they can do as good of a job as Mayor Butts, while wearing high heel shoes.
Good luck to all.
